Dear friend,

Let me wish you, in the first place, a very warm welcome to our SOCIAL CRUISING FORUM website. The Port Authority of Vigo is specially glad to host this conference which will deal with the impact of social networks on the cruising industry as well as on the new challenges faced by shipping companies, tour operators, terminals, local agents and ports.

But beyond the simple port or maritime expectations, we have tried to reach a global scope for this event: European and national port authorities representatives, managers of cruise lines, official and independent tour operators have been invited to participate in this event, but we also will count on several travel agencies specializing in cruises and big networks, social media experts, local tourism sector professionals and journalist from some noted specialized media press outlets, both traditional and digital.

I would like the Port of Vigo to become a good place where we, all the attendants and all the speakers as a whole, can discuss, learn, exchange ideas and decide about topics that will benefit all of us. This is the excellent opportunity that we conceive this forum to bc.
